Titanium based Micro-Electro Mechanical Systems (MEMS)

MISTIC SAS transposes the semiconductor nano and microfabrication technologies to titanium substrates ("wafers"), thus enabling the supply of multifunctional titanium based components with tolerances down to 1µm.

Mechanical and electrical features are implemented thanks to the selective deposition and etching processes of various materials.

In order to address the most stringent biocompatibility requirements, the components are microengineered using exclusively biocompatible and noble materials : titanium, titanium oxide, titanium nitride, gold, platinum, aluminum oxide, with the possilibity to work with any material specified by the customer.

 

The shapes and functions are defined thanks to multiple optical masks (photolithography) : our graphic like technology leads to boundaryless customization and design flexibility. Moreover, the batch fabrication inherent to the semiconductor processes enables the parallel and simultaneous manufacturing of components with various designs. The time to market becomes very fast with minimized trial & errors iterations for the customer.     

 

Last, our semiconductor technologies in a state of the art cleanroom environment guarantee an excellent reproductibility, contamination control, and a very high overall quality level.
